Review: 'Retrospectives, The'
'Confusion'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '29th June 2015'

Our Rating:
Raised on 60’s and 70’s rock, punk and wave, Sheffield duo The Restrospectives are “songwriters with an ability to combine lyrics and melody with rare precision” according to ‘Stereoboard’ and “ones-to-watch” if you read (and believe) ‘Q Magazine’. The clue’s in the same of course, and they’re clearly in thrall to their record collections – or perhaps more accurately, their parents’ record collections.

This effort sounds like a Bryan Adams album track crossed with Don Henley’s ‘Boys of Summer’ slowed down and without the good bits.
