Tad Morose have been slamming out the riffs for the best part of 25 years now. During that time, they’ve undergone lineup changes, protracted periods of inactivity and managed, seemingly against the odds, to rack up eight albums.
The Swedish band’s latest pairs the dense chug of 90s metal with the squealy licks of classic 80s metal and the vocal bombast of Bruce Dickinson, courtesy of new singer Ronny Hemlin (their fourth).
It’s tight, it’s solid, it’s flamboyant and over the top, and it’s completely of its genre. Meaning, if you like Iron Maiden, the chances are, you’ll like this. If you don’t, then steer clear.
