Review: 'Decline, The'
'Resister'

-  Album: 'Resister' -  Label: 'Pee Records'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '3rd August 2015'

Our Rating:
It’s been five years since Aussie skate punks The Decline released their debut album ‘I’m Not Gonna Lie to You’, since which time their reputation and stature in the punk community has grown substantially. ‘Register’ packs in 13 tracks, the majority of which clock in at under three minutes.

The guitars chug along against frenetic, cymbal-heavy percussion, and these guys are all about the good time punk-pop party tunes. I’ve never been big on the poppier side of punk: anger is an energy, bouncy three-way harmonies and high-school grievances about girls and whatnot, I never dug when I was 15, and at 39 I simply can’t relate. Still, the energy of these guys is undeniable, and if you’re after something that’s 100% pure pogo action with melody, then this is the album you need.
