Review: 'Walk In Coma'
'Narrenturm (EP)'

-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '23rd October 2015'

Our Rating:
It’s a tried and tested and extremely popular thing at the moment in the various metal genres to begin with a slow-building, atmospheric intro track before slamming in with the crunching riffs, and ‘Narrentm’ finds Southend metallers exploit it. To judge the EP on this and the merits of cliché titles like ‘Raising Hell’, ‘Asylum’ and ‘The Fire’ would be rather unfair, though, as they come in hard and heavy but balance this with a clear attention to detail.

Nein’ is actually quite an emotive track with some nice chord structures and alternating vocals, showing they’ve got more than just snarling venom in their arsenal. They’ve got plenty of that, mind you, and with the punk-tinged metal of ‘Asylum’ and the battering-ram riffery of ‘Retreat’, Walk In Coma sure bring the rage.
