Review: 'PUGH, FRANCIS AND THE WHISKY SINGERS'
'A Place Back West EP'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '19th August 2015'

Our Rating:
This six-man band of English whisky lovers from Oxford play a busker's take on Bluegrass with raspy, understated vocals backed by some jaunty banjo, fiddle and trumpet arrangements.

The EP is a modest affair with just three tracks, four if you count the radio edit of A Place Back West.

This should be enough to keep them in booze and to get them some UK gigs at venues that lack the resources to fly in American bands working in the same genre.
