Review: 'BRACE! BRACE!'
'Controlled Weirdness (EP) (10" vinyl)'

-  Label: 'Howlin' Banana'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '20 January 2017'

Our Rating:
Howlin' Banana Records are based in Saint-Denis, France and they specialise in garage, pop and psych, as do this band Brace! Brace! who hail from Lyon.

Their influences range from Mac Demarco to Ty Segall and I can hear a bit of Bowie and even the Pixies in there. This is a five track EP and it's pretty woozy, if you know what the psych I'm talking about! All the tracks pull their weight but I like the light and lazy feel of 'Untidy Hair' and the heavy and hazy vibe on 'I Sprawl' best of all. Worth taking a look see if you're into this kind of thing, both the label and the band.
