This Chicago based trio (Cooper Crain, Rob Frye and Daniel Quinlivan) continue to conduct leisurely experiments with the sonic textures of analogue loops, extended drones and jazzy ambience.
The bleeping pulses of Jammu and pulsating Krautrock beat of Circles On Circles kick things off in a lively fashion but thereafter the record becomes a soundtrack which seems more suited to random drifting than concentrated driving.
Angels And Demons At Play is a chilled out Sun Ra cover in which the three minutes of the original is doubled. However, this is still the shortest piece on the seven track, 80 minute album.
2303 is the longest tune - the title denotes the exact playing time of 23 minutes and 3 seconds. This is taken up by slow, rambling drones with a cut off point that feels arbitrary; one gets the feeling that it could have gone on indefinitely!

This is followed by the relatively brief twelve and half minute Chokayo which features flute and horns and is therefore more akin to spiritual jazz.
The noodly Yonaguni is in a similar vein and the saxophone refrains on the closing track Be Going brings things to a mellow conclusion.
I would call the mood overall a kind of synthesized existentialism in that the band's philosophy appears to be one of going with the flow and being in the moment.
Depending on your mindset and mood, the effect of this ambient navel gazing will either engender spaced-out bliss or brain-numbing tedium.
