The abbreviated name of Canadian singer/songwriter, Ahkinoah Habah Izarh, is meant to be pronounced 'eye' and this album follows his self-released debut album, ‘We Made It Through The Wreckage’.
His songs are soulful, melodic and affirmative built around the theme of life as a challenging but ultimately rewarding journey. “Put your blinders on and look straight ahead” is the message at the heart of track Straight Ahead.
The richness of Ahi's flawless voice oozes wisdom gained from often bitter experience but the main aim appears to be focus of universal values. For instance the story of an abused child Just Pray is symbolic of the plight of all children from broken homes.

The cynic in me can't help but be suspicious of just how impressively slick it all sounds but there's no mistaking that this is a record with a big heart and wide-ranging appeal.
