Review: 'Electric Retro Spectrum'
'Sub Urban'

-  Label: 'Stolen Body'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '4th January 2019'

Our Rating:
SBR continue to trawl Parisian squats in order to bring quality fare to these shores and long may it continue. I think they're on to something.

This time they come heavy with the easily mispronounced Electric Retro Spectrum. Presumably they took time out from throwing paving stones at the pigs and fucking in the streets to put together this 28 minute shit storm. It is more about the overall sound and vibe than individual stand outs and that sound is loudly loud and fiercely fierce.

Handmade Cabs and guitars scream for vengeance. Early Telescopes springs to mind and further back than that there are shades of VU and The Stooges on "New World Order". This gang are all raw power. "Seasons" sounds like Hole at their hateful best. They even manage to relax a bit and add some water colours to the black marker blackness on 9 minute closer "Plane". Arise from your turkey based slumbers, 2019 has begun and ERS have set the tone with "Sub Urban". Stolen Body mean business.
