Suspects’ debut EP brings together their three previous – and acclaimed – singles with the title track to deliver a sonic bomb for the start of summer.
Recovery is a classic example of a song gentle intro that suddenly explodes. And then explodes again, and goes hell-for-leather all the way to the end.
Singer / Guitarist Thomas Prescott details how the song emerged from what he considers the darkest period of his life, defined by the damaging personal effects of alcoholism, and the chiming, clean guitar and melodic vocal indicates we’re in for some soul-searching emo confessional, but then the drums and overdrive kick in and with it all the fury.

Previous single, ‘Anaphylactic Shock’ is a minute and fourteen seconds of full-tilt punk rock: it’s got a strong hook and keen melody, but it’s just got way too much balls to be considered pop-punk, and the tracks are sequenced so as to build a trajectory whereby the guitars get louder, grittier, and the riffs bigger and denser, culminating in the throbbing bass-driven blast of ‘Armageddon and Me’. And Armageddon quite excited about Suspects after this.
