Our Rating:
Well who doesn't like trains and this single is proof of why you should all Like Trains, it comes from I Like Trains fourth album Kompromat that's due out in a couple of weeks' time.

This Leeds based band, who I really should have seen back when they played round the corner from here at the long lost Luminaire a few years ago, have been unable to stop themselves commenting on the current times and the way our so called rulers behave and treat us.

The a-side of the single is Dig In that sounds like The Nightingales back when they were joined by Vic Godard and Terry Edwards and the very dry vocals and lyrics are in a similar almost sarcastic style to Terry Edwards I See Glimpses or Hey Louie Let's Do Lunch but catchier and concerned with the current state of things and the absurdity of it all.

The Truth is a small sliver away from sounding like it could have been made by The Pet Shop Boys trying to go more indie than disco and with more of a band than a synth, as they ask about what Truth means these days, among the rubble of what used to be considered truth, set against some cool tribal style drumming and soaring guitars that accentuate the deadpan delivery of the vocals this is really a perfect song for 2020 now to find someone to do a dancefloor re-mix of this tune.
