Our Rating:
If nothing else this ep has a totally apt title for 2020 a year in which in many ways, we have all said Goodbye To The Light. Thrillsville is the solo project of Rani Sharone from Stolen Babies and the Ep features re-workings of two Stolen Babies tunes.

The Ep opens with The Fever both the normal and radio edits of this dark goth electro pop tune has some very early 80's style synth effects on it that almost sound like Vince Clarke era Depeche Mode mixed with something far more disco yet still quite dark, it's inspired by The Twilight Zone Episode the Fever.

So Close is a Marilyn Manson style goth floor-filler to pump your body too with dark almost despairing vocals and some good guitar interjections set against the pounding beats.

The Caller sounds like it should be the soundtrack to some modern horror film with the beat marking the walk up to the door they are going to knock on before all sorts of horrible things happen within, this is slow and deliberate with an epic widescreen feel to the music.

Second Sleep is an EBM dance tune that has echoes of D.A.F. or early Die Krupps (pre 95) and sounds like it will be fun to dance to once we can all go clubbing again.

The Ep closes with Body Bag, that sadly isn't the Ice Mummies 90's super obscure classic brit rock song that’s slated for possible re-issue next year, provided this writer can get the tapes to the other band member interested in finally putting it online. This Body Bag doesn't welcome you to it that much, being a rather dank industrial goth hellscape of foreboding and dread that sums up 2020 pretty well it came in both normal and a radio edit version.
