Our Rating:
After an eight year break Austin based duo Panjoma are back with this new Ep. Panjoma are Mary Panjoma and Patrik Nilsson and assorted guests. This Ep is the band's first release since they got divorced.

This ep opens with Sun and Moon (Dawn) that has a glitch folk kind of thing going on, with odd glitchy noises giving way to the strummed acoustic guitar and violin. That's followed by Sun And Moon (Radio Edit) that ups the glitchy synth parts and has vocoder style vocals that makes this feel like it was recorded in a closet, rather than somewhere you could actually see the Sun and Moon from.

Sun and Moon the normal mix has an electro pop feel to it that's a little bit wispy and the vocals seem to follow more of a nursery rhyme pattern, as this slinks across the speakers and the synth's infect your brain.

Sun And Moon Dusk has a spoken word intro over space age sounds, this is far gentler than the other songs, until the glitchy sounds appear every once in a while, like they are playing with the cables and the plugs are making annoying noises.

Free has a slow thumping beat, gently synth's and glitchy percussion as Mary's glacial vocals come in to try to make us all feel Free and easy. Although this could easily be about the feeling of freedom regained by leaving a relationship that was no longer working.

Like Thunder opens with a snake like sax solo before the claustrophobia sets in and the synth sound like the walls are closing in as Mary sings and the cymbals sound like the falling rain.

Bleeding Sun has what sounds like backwards synths and a typical drum and bass drum part with all sorts of glitchy stuff.
