Review: 'Connell, Louise'
'The Truth That I Suppose I Always Knew'

-  Label: 'Last Night From Glasgow/Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '26.8.22.'-  Catalogue No: 'LNFG1111'

Our Rating:
The Truth That I Suppose I Always Knew is the first single from Louise Connells third album that will come out in 2023, Louise is a singer songwriter from Airdrie whose first two albums Straw Woman and Squall Echo Rale apparently garnered her loads of airplay in Scotland and Ireland and a slot at Robert Smiths Meltdown festival.

This single feels a bit like an update of 1980's Postcard Indie pop very good it is too, with the song slowly revealing exactly what the truth she is singing about really is, this is nicely sophisticated with lots going on musically on a catchy song underpinned by the synths and the guitars.
