Our Rating:
Live At Worship is a live recording of Ty Segall and Emmett Kelly playing a secret warm up show, to practice the acoustic mini set they wanted to play before the band join them onstage. They announced this free show, in a Clothes shop in Highland Park Los Angeles, a few hours in advance and then recorded the outcome for this ep.

This short set opens with Hello, Hi with two heavily strummed acoustic guitars, with some high and lonesome vocals welcoming everyone, as the vocal harmonies, yelps and some good finger picked parts, work within the strumming as they say Hello, Hi very effectively.

Don't Lie chimes nicely, working well acoustically, as they hope they don't lose themselves among all the clothes in the shop they are playing in.

Blue feels more isolated, yearning, plaintive pained acoustic blues folk that feels like Man Of Words, Man Of Music era Bowie in the chord changes and strumming of the guitars.

Saturday Pt. 2 has an acoustic glam feel, like they are re-working an old junk shop glam classic, this is quite dreamy with a delightful guitar solo from Emmett. They really only feel happy on Saturdays listening to good music.

The show concludes with Distraction that for me is all about the interplay of the guitars driving this song along, so much that they distract me from listening to what Ty is singing about, just what has Distracted him so much outside.
