Platzwort is the latest single by Vlimmer, that is one of the acts, the as ever very busy Vlimmer main man Alexander Donat is involved in, he is fast becoming a 21st century goth legend.
Platzwort opens as a dark electro goth tinged single with a very speedy repeating piano figure as well as the downhearted vocals set against what's going on with all the synths and percussive elements.
The B-side is a German language cover of the Spiritualized classic Out Of Sight, that strips the song back a good bit, so rather than have hundreds of layers as Jason's work usually does, this is more like a dozen or so elements, it also sounds more distressed in places with the rumbling noises that sound laid back rather than out of your mind opiated, this envelopes you in a warm glowing feeling.
