Review: 'Dirty Strangers, The'
'My Girl's A Getaway Driver/Cellblock no 5'

-  Label: 'DS Records/I-Tunes'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '30.6.23.'

Our Rating:
This is the first single from The Dirty Strangers forthcoming sixth album Hunters Moon that is released on 31st August with a launch gig at the 100 club. The album was mainly written and partly recorded during lockdown and features the final recordings of original Dirty stranger Scotty Mulvey whose piano is prominently featured on the singles B-side Cellblock No 5. The Dirty Strangers are of course Alan Claytons very long running classic rock & roll blues band.

My Girls a Getaway Driver is super speedy like you've just done a handbrake turn and your burning rubber down the Uxbridge Road on this super catchy song that's souped up and ready to rumble as the guitars flash by fired on high octane fuel.

The B-side is CellBlock No 5 Locked Up mix that's a soft acoustic take that manages to sound like one of the late era Chas & Dave songs full of regret for what's gone down and how you've ended up just how your sitting in Cell Block No 5 as the barrel house piano comes in against the reflective acoustic guitar they set to do battle against the kraken eating away at Alan whose fumbling with his words.
