Review: 'Evans, Richard'
'Dream Of The World'

-  Label: 'Cold Star Media'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '23.11.23.'

Our Rating:
Miraculously Richard Evans is back after recovering from Miller Fisher Syndrome a debilitating auto-immune disease that left Richard needing to learn how to Walk, talk, sing and play music again, once he managed to recover enough to leave the hospital after a month.

That he has been able to write and perform again is a thing of wonder. Richard was originally a member of James and St Vitus Dancers.

The ep opens with Dream Of The World a gently pulsing synth pop tune as he dreams of surviving as empires fall, he's dreaming of a better world, hoping to see the stars at night once more, dealing with the hand that fate dealt him, over a lustrous piano line.

2084 is a re-working of an earlier song about the population crisis with the synths washing over us as the lyrics should make us all think of where we want the world to be in 2084.

Motherlode is an outtake from Richards excellent Sentinel album, this is all about flash trading and other hi tech ways of manipulating money, as Richard manipulates the synths to make all the shenanigans sound like they are wrapped in a glossy sheen.
