Our Rating:
Birmingham's classic Biker Rock gods Black Bombers are back with the bands third album, this time they have expanded from the classic power trio of Alan Byron on Guitar and vocals, Darren Birch on Bass and Dave Twist on Drums adding in Steve Crittall on second guitar, they also ventured out of Birmingham to record the album at Alex McGowan's legendary Space Eko East Studios in London, to allow them to add even more balls to the band's sound than before.

This careens out of the speakers with No Pity that's already a live favourite, as the crushing riff is beaten into your brain by Dave Twists pinpoint drumming, Alan Byron starts to stress all the things that need No Pity in the twisted world we currently live in, as the guitars rage away.

Everything Is Ruined is a perfect song title for the mess that is the 2020's as they try to distinguish where the line between wrong and right is, over strained vocals and distressed guitars.

Pretty Boy is a hard rocking ballad, in love with just another Pretty Boy, who gets away with all sorts due to his looks, as this hard rocker lays it all out for the object of lust this is about.

Loose Lips has Steve Crittall's guitar strafing all over the place, as Alan Byron's guitar battles it out, while they make sure we know just how dangerous it can be, if you don't keep schtumm, as Darren Birch's bass line beats you into submission.

Last Bite is what we are left with, the Last Bite before the whole world collapses, as we have nothing but ruins, Dave's drumming is so intense that it allows the guitars to build over them into a tsunami of sound as they rush on into the oncoming oblivion.

Good Times Gone looks back on how things used to be, back when hard rocking glam bands strutted across the world, as they want something to believe in, a solid riff, some cool scarves, a pint or three.
Just let them take you on that ride back to the Good old bad old days once more, as sadly they are gone for good.

What Do You See? Slows things down to a calmer pace as they wonder how real it feels these days, in the unreality of Artificial intelligence and chat bots, they keep things bare bones, basic allowing the words to hit home all the harder.

The Price asks what Price you would pay, to be able to come on down, to live in a sane world again, one not consumed by the greedy 1%, one with fewer diversions as who needs any more bad tattoos, just sit back and let those guitars lead you into the new world.
Sometimes all you need is some hard as nails biker rock to get through another day, crisp drums and bass anchor it down, as the guitars soar through alongside another heavy riff.

The album closes with a cover of David Bowies Boys Keep Swinging, I look forward to seeing them pay tribute to the original video, with the Black Bomberettes all dolled up to the nines, this keeps all the glam edginess of the original, while Steve Crittall tries to outdo Adrian Belew on the mad guitar solo stakes, coming pretty close.
