Review: 'Edwards,Matthew & The Futurists'
'Suit/Kindness'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '1.4.24.'

Our Rating:
Kindness is the latest single from Matthew Edwards & The Futurists, we are very lucky he is still with us to put out more cool music, having survived some serious health issues recently, he returns with a strong single. The Futurists backing him are Issac Bonnell, Carl Horne, Jefferson Marshall and Camilla Saufley.

The A-side of the single is Suit the song that justifies Dave Twists re-working of Andy Warhol's homage to the Campbell's soup tin on the artwork for the single. As the chorus for this song is "You Can't Pour Soup Into A Suit", a truism that is further explored and explained within the song, it feels like an accurate metaphor for the dissolving of reality from mainstream politics in recent years, as an insistent guitar line takes away the feelings of angst.

The B-Side is Kindness that celebrates all the things that make Matthew smile despite all the horror of living in the 21st century, with some stunning guitar, over the gentle piano lines and steady drumming, you're left hoping a new Kinder lovelier world will finally emerge from all the current gloom and end is nigh proselytizing in the air.
