Our Rating:
Flotsam is the new EP from Shudder To Think offshoot Quiz Show who this time around are Chris Matthews, Jesse Krakow and Joe Billy. The Ep was produced by Ray Ketchum with assistance from Bryan Robbins at Ray's Magic Door Studios in New Jersey.

This single opens with Super Concrete with fizzing guitars, with an urgency as the deep twisted lyrics, with all sorts of dark imagery come flying at us, are we afraid of them, well maybe, as we try to work out what made him go blind as he lost his mind, all in tribute to the company Chris brother worked for, before he passed away far too young.

Packing 'Em In has coruscating guitars that fry, set against the super straight ahead bass line, as the lyrics explain just what they are Packing 'Em In, its not the sort of thing that cost my local venue its live license, this has an indie grunge garage rock feel, good and speedy like they are speeding like crazy.

China Glaze is an antiques obsessed song, for those enamoured of classic China Glaze pottery, this has a hazy lazy slacker rock feel, as they explain how they feel like Flotsam broken and cracked like that China Glaze, can they be stapled back together or glued along the hairlines, or are they forever in pieces. As this gets all dubby scratch indie, the vocals whisper through the walls at you.
