Exclusivity and the internet are uneasy bedfellows. The notion of an online limited edition is a contradiction in terms. Even if a band or artist tries to restrict music files, it only needs one listener to make a copy of the digital recording for the notion of restricted distribution to be reduced to a futile gesture.
So you have to take the idea of this particular live “bootleg-style CD” release being confined to just 100 copies with a generous pinch of salt.
Undeterred, Jimmy Regal & The Royals announce that this product is”more than just a recording; it’s a keepsake, a tangible memory of a landmark performance in the band's career.
All this aside, the South London trio’s excellent recreation of Mississippi/New Orleans/Mali blues music has a sharp edgy quality that more than justifies its release.
Nine tunes from Burn It Down to Got To Make A New Flame are, as these track titles suggest, hot and fiery.

Another song gives the valuable advice to ”never put your hands on a Fat Man’s Chicken”.
The tunes were recorded at Temple of Art and Music in South London at a one-night-only performance of their (non-limited) studio album, "First and Last Stop".
The band - Joff Watkins (harp, vox), Sammy Samuels (drums), and CJ Williams (guitar) - were joined on stage by guest musicians: Titch Walker (trumpet), John O’Neill (sax), Alan Hughes (djembe and percussion), Toby Kinder (keys), John Heal (bass), and Tricia Davies Nearn (backing vox).
Get your copy now before they’re all gone! Yeah, right!
