Mousetrap is the new single by Dew Claw, the 7" single version doesn't include all the remixes. Dew Claw are a band formed from the ashes of Hypnolovewheel and King Missile by Steven Hunking who was eventually joined by Chris Xefos with help from High Tunnels (Dave Ramirez).
The EP opens with Mousetrap that isn't the script of the play boiled down to three minutes ten seconds, rather this is a bruised heartbreaker, he's found out you're in love with someone else, his pain pours out through the guitar solo, while knowing it's never going to go back to how it once was. Oh the shame and sorrow of it all, for members of the loners and losers club everywhere.
Fantastic Voyage original version is certainly not the David Bowie classic, this is a clattering slice of indie rock, they lose control of everything to that monster riff and beat, he calls out the numbers like a quarter back calling out the mystery moves of the next play.
Fantastic Voyage (High Tunnels Remix) adds 20 seconds and all sorts of glitchy computer generated madness, speeding everything up to a gabba pop craziness.
Fantastic Voyage (CRX Mix) doubles the length of the song adds dirty bass rumblings giving this more of a dank night club instrumental feel.
Fantastic Voyage (High Tunnels Mix Karaoke 1) is full on bonkers bouncing off the wall's synth pop weirdness, you can sing along too it as badly as you can. Probably extemporizing your own lyrics while throwing weird shapes.
Fantastic Voyage (High Tunnels Karaoke 2) is shorter and even bouncier for you to get flakier and flakier too, while singing whatever you choose, to this tune while dancing robotically, the music demands you must.
The ep closes with Fantastic Voyage (Mono Remix) that really ups the bass riff and echo for everyone to follow, the instructions coming from those numbers the quarterback calls out, did someone shout bingo, or was it Fantastic Voyage again.
