Our Rating:
Recycled Hearts is the second ep by Forceghost the electronic duo of Eric Kinlaw and Marcus Barfield who are based in Augusta Georgia.

The EP opens with Oh No You Didn't, well maybe you did decide to make some shoegazey synth pop, to help make everyone feel calm in troubled times, no matter what anyone else has done to you. Let them hold your hand and lead you towards a brighter happier future.

Scientific! Has darker tones, with the drum machine working in similar ways to how Vlimmer uses his one, the gauzy synth washes away some of the pain, while a very 90's style sampled vocal leads to computer games noises, working through the key tones to make sure they get that formula right.

Microplastics have gummed up the synapses and are making the synths ever glitchier, key shifts trigger slow effects, they discuss the dread that these Microplastics will be floating through our rivers and seas, along with imperceptibly littering our seabeds and riverbeds forever more.

The Ep closes with the single This Is The Only Way that is more stripped back, the main synth line has an almost drums and bass style urgency, even if the vocals are far more introverted indie making an interesting juxtaposition between the feel of the music and the feel of the vocals.
