'Goat'

Our Rating:
Goat is the latest album by Goat the Psych warriors from the voodoo heartland of Korpilombolo Norbotten County in far northern Sweden.

The album opens with tribal storms, thunderous riffing, anthemic One More Death, staccato machine-gunning mantra, deep ocean of psycho climactic distortions, time and space between marching out to the firing squad and the fusillade unleashed, Spirit infused psychedelic freak out Hendrix mantramantic.

Goatbrain uses Ashanti style rhythms, chanted hypnotic vocals, vibrations of love and hope, peace wellbeing the message we all need to hear, perfect for mushroom head parties, tribal shamanic trance like Congo messages to the Augustus ranges.

Fool's Journey behind that lonesome flautist into the far glades of wonderment, to a glorious happy land that may never exist, falling into a dungeon of echoed intonations.

Dollar Bill is blaxploitation funky strutting psychedelic rawker, shaking that money maker and grinding out the riffs, Dubbed weirdness drawn into that endless riff.

Zombie sadly isn't a Fela Kuti cover, but opens with ambient waves before the funky break starts to build into a dancefloor monster disco freak out, message delivered, shuffle Zombie like across the dancefloor, waiting for drum solo to hit your cortex, piano deepening your state.

Frisco Beaver is as 70's as that title suggests, like they are in some hippy commune, chanting for the wonders of another day of free love, Trad Gras Och Stenar messages of freedom of expression, back to the Silence records festival heyday.

The All Is One takes a strummed acoustic with noodling turned down electric, allowing them to interweave telepathic messages of wonderment at all logic and creation.

The album closes with the 7-minute-long dancefloor sensation Ouroboros snaking across your speakers and shaking across that dancefloor, deeply spiritual message, hoping for connections to good uplifting vibrations, mantra getting deeper with each revolution of the dancefloor, perfect for a trance like disco freak out circle pit to that eternal disco riff.
