Review: 'HERON, ROB & THE TEA PAD ORCHESTRA'
'Feet First'

-  Label: 'Tea Pad Recordings / Sleazy Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '4th October 2024'

Our Rating:
Anyone for Rockabilly, Blues, Country, Swing, Soul and, well, whatever?

This Newcastle-based musical conundrum exist for fun, fun, fun and sound like an American show band complete with Elvis impersonators.

They even manage to stay chirpy when singing songs with titles like Broken Down and Broken Hearted and Every Day Is Misery

”Fabulously entertaining" it says on the box but you have to be in an uncritical party mood to endorse this assessment.

Ben Powling on saxophone is a new addition to the line-up if you’re interested.

This, the band’s sixth album, was recorded live in the room in just two days at Lightning Recorders in Berlin, Germany. No need to sweat the small stuff . 14 songs, 37 minutes, thank you and good night.
