All We Need is the debut album by Argentinian/Atlantan duo Aerolinea who have Robert Fripp tipped singer/guitarist Victoria Real from the League Of Crafty Guitarists teaming up with Eric Weissinger from I Am Rocketship with some additional drums from Kellii Scott. The bands South American tour starts this week.
The album opens with the title song All We Need a slice of bedroom bound synth pop, with seductive vocals and guitar imprecations full of the love and hate between you.
Nervous has heavier guitar, that alternates between soft and harder parts, this lovers duet pushes and pulls, between lust and the need for space, before another encounter, when will they be as one again.
What Moves You other than a basic percussive pattern, shimmering guitar and evocative vocals, drawing you too close, until your lost within each other.
Dreamer thankfully is not a Supertramp cover, Victoria wrestles with her conscious, figuring out what the right move will be, how to control her feelings no matter how uncontrolled the guitar can feel.
What Is Love a question asked in a sensual whisper to a siren to desire vocals and all-embracing synths.
Desire is hunger, is the drum pattern shuffling away, brushes craving embrace, the passion builds.
Going Down getting all low slung and heavy, with a club ready thumping beat to accompany gauzy vocals, that dirt will soon be showered over your remains.
The album closes with Nothing Is a wispy float towards the ether, if your vanishing point is coming into view, you need one more glimpse, the spoken word part is cool with a chilling finality about it.
