This is the latest album by Belarussian artist Galina Ozeran, the album was recorded in Athens, St Petersburg and Berlin and co-produced with Jaako Eino Kalevi.
The album opens with the spoken word ephemeral Intro like we are at the start of an East German sci fi film.
Evil Sky has a female German narration over ambient strings and synths getting off their tits with a dark club beat.
DKN has jazzy cymbal intro with a funky bassline to help create a mythic soundscape, for narrated vocals taking us deep into the Soviet world of paranoia, yet feeling luxurious, the action is about to happen.
Nevesta has a feeling of dread like the secret police are closing in, dreadful privations await you if you don't elude them. The vocals actually sound rather sensual, like they are creating a diversion.
Train Schedule has pulsing sounds from the track, train approaches, I have no idea what her Russian vocals are about, but hope the train still has Soviet punctuality.
4.45 sounds like a song on the album I have by Lynda the Russian Greek singer, this is sophisticated electro pop and also available as a single in English.
Between Time And Laziness has a great lazy bassline for everything to build around. Into The Void is a disco electronica ballad, it feels grandly seductive, taking us deep within the void.
Don't Be Afraid has a semi classical ambient drone intro, before drums kick in, Galina evokes her vision in English, of all the reasons to banish fear in these fearful times. Glacially progressing through dreams of death, pain, mortality pushing you to exile in more peaceful lands. Don't Be Afraid to take a leap in the dark world being created.
Forever floats away on a bed of sinful synths, moaning seductive ripples, implications within heartbeats uttered in our ears.
