Review: 'Ecce Shnak'
'The Internet'

-  Label: 'Records Man, Records'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '17.1.25.'

Our Rating:
The Internet is the latest single by Ecce Shnak the deeply odd band from New York who feature David Roush, Bella Komodromos, Chris Krasnow, Gannon Ferrell and Henry Buchanan-Vaughn. It was produced by Jeff Lucci at the Art Farm.

The single opens with The Internet a weird odd glitchy math rock/pop song that goes off on several tangents at once, like you've deep dived on something with 1000 meanings, it is layered with mad noises and ideas, are you really making love to The Internet is it your only love, this in bonkersly engaging.

Prayer On Love is at first sight more conventional, askew indie pop, searching for deeper meaning and some kind of God, in the weirdest of times and places, can we ever find a way back to a world full of love, which river will deliver such a prize.

Jeremy, Utilitarian Sadboy is operatic jump cut, glitch core, math rock utter weirdness, that feels all over the place, no matter how many times I've listened to this I still don't have a clue what this is getting at, poor old Jeremy, they couldn't mean the dreaded C word could they, No thankfully it's Jeremy Bentham they are singing about, I wonder if they have ever stared at the good man's head.
