Our Rating:
Signs In The Heavens Reality Upside Down is the sprawling new album from Beauty In Chaos a double cd of 29 tracks re-imagined and reworked, re-tooled anew from Dancing With Angels the bands fourth album. I only have 8 of the songs for this review of what Michael Ciravolo and Michael Rozon have come up in collusion with Cynthia Issabella, William and Sarah Faith, Mark Gemini Thwaite, Julian Shah Tayler, Aston Nyte, Andy LaPleuga and Al Jourgensen and many others.

The album opens with Present Tense (current stress Mix with William And Sarah Faith) this is pumping dancefloor mix, with swirling synths and Williams dark toned vocals, caught in the horror of a world gone insane, trying to live in the present tense, when all you want is escape to a different reality.

Echoes & The Angels (MGT Mix) FT Leo Luganskiy works around a deep dark dancefloor beat, but with more EMO vocals, this feels very widescreen, they listen for echoes of signs that things could turn around.

Made Of Rain (Frontal Boundary Mix) ft Ashton Nyte is a rather calming almost ethereal goth synth pop.

Maid of Rain (Almost Acoustic Mic) Featuring Ashton Nyte and Whitney Tai is cool and sparing and reminiscent of Michael Aston's Why Me, Why This, Why Now album in its parched beauty within the sadness.

The Devil You Know (The Devil You Thought You Knew Mix) Ft Kat Leon has a slow thumping beat, nicely wobbly bass and sylph like angelic vocals, asking questions to how we really find out the truth, within this ever-crazier landscape, we all twist around the dancefloor once more throwing devil horns at each other.

Hollow (Crimson Cupid Mix) Ft Cynthia Issabella follows seamlessly on the same dancefloor, the hollow reality of everything, where has the love gone, flying like the meteor bound guitar salvoes.

Children Of The Revolution ft Al Jourgensen is a great dark pop version with an immense guitar solo and Al's pop star vocals that has a nice dubbed part, before we all sing along to this classic Bolan boogie.

The album closes with a version of the Lords Of The New Church classic Open Your Eyes a song whose meaning is only more pertinent now, than they ever where back when it was originally written, we all need to Open Our Eyes to the worlds descent into insanity, war and corruption, how do we stop the carpetbagging predator class, the strings work sublimely, setting off the guitars, I just want to rewind the selector to hear the sax solo a couple more times.
