Legendary/infamous London live band Electrics have finally committed many of the band's classic live tunes to tape at Westbourne Rehearsals, all of these songs have been in the band's live sets for many years. With the Ep being mixed by Alan Blizzard at Stonebridge Sound studios. The band are Alan Blizzard, Jenny Lane, Mike Vick and Robert Jones and this Ep is a foretaste of the bands self-titled album already available to download on bandcamp.
The EP opens with Nite Falls Down that has a very Heartbreakers style punk sound, guitars rage away for this tale of normal nocturnal activities, that those cymbal crescendo's make clear, no good is happening around that corner, can you escape before the heat is upon you once more. The only thing missing from this is the sax solo it used to have when I first heard this song live.
Victim Suspect which are you in this dark tale from the city's underbelly, furious guitar runs taking us through the darkness of another noir tale, a street battle between the competing guitars, Alan's vocals jump out in ways to make clear you're not sure who the good guys and the bad guys are in this case.
Remember is looking back on the days when they ruled the streets and owned everything, guitars make clear the sort of rave up that was theirs back in the day furiously good fun.
The EP closes with Looks Are Deceiving they certainly are, you could think this band are just a bunch of Herbert's, rather than a hot shit-kicking punk band bringing back the true spirit of Rock & Roll from the streets with Jenny's backing vocals adding a bit more depth to the pleas making totally clear Looks Are Deceiving.
