Our Rating:
Kingdom Of Love is the latest album by Nash Albert who is based in Tbilisi Georgia. This is the latest solo album from the former member of Blast and Salamandra. Produced by Nash Albert, Ilya Mazaev, Enrico Beridze & Tim Palmer. Engineered by Ilya Mazaev; Alexey Bondarenko; Jacob Zakhkvaktin. Recorded at SVAS Studios; Sano Studio; Cinelab SoundMix; Jetset Studios. Mixed by Tim Palmer at '62 Studios, Mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering.

The album opens with Thought As Time that slowly builds from an acoustic strum, into a widescreen personal philosophical journey through time and space. Cavernous bass, with spacey keyboards floating through the mix. All sorts of string instruments join in to make this a compelling song to lure you into Nash Albert's Georgian inspired world.

Better Home has a very 80's windswept epic intro, part Simple Minds, part Psychedelic Furs this feels familiar yet new, allowing us to drift along with him.

Prof Steiner's Trip takes us on a gender bending ride into the ether, this is piano and keyboard led, into spectral places, this moves through several phases and adds swirling sounds, some trumpet to help aid us on this trip.

Berlin Wall looks back at the bad old days of the Berlin Wall, this opens like it might have been a Yuri Antonov song, the strings are far more beautiful than the wall ever was. Do we still have to pay for past conflicts, can we ever stop fighting then same battles over and over.

Maya is a gentle folktale strum for life looking out over the Urals, while wanting to stay close to the ones you love.

Around The Sun will have an audience swaying along in no time to this rather sophisticated jazz pop almost ballad, he's chasing dreams across the rainbow again. The eastern European musical history being funnelled through the horns and strings.

Beautiful Day is almost tropicalia, a lush, fresh love song for whiling away the day, about town with the one you love. Someone Else Is Me is a late night slow thoughtful dream across the ever-shifting borders, lushly orchestrated reflections on life's tribulations.

Stars has gentle psychedelic arrangement, Nash wants you to sit back and gaze at the stars with him in the clear Georgian night sky, while feeling a bit like Diana Express. My Friend we need to part and go our separate ways, no need to put into words why, just slow evocative piano closing that dream.

The album closes with Kingdom Of Love a place we need to make clear, needs to be where we can all live and exist peacefully together. The message of this sweet pop song is currently needed more than ever.

The historical journey across the globe this song travels through, always searching for love, rather than hate. Uniting us in a common love of music, all the way back to his beloved Georgia from California. This almost works in similar ways to Winds Of Change.
