This Norwegian female trio consists of Silje Liahagen, Malin Alander and Synnøve Plassen.
They use Slåttetralling, a traditional form of Norwegian vocal dance tune improvisation, as the basis for their vocalisation.
I have to say some of the more up-tempo tunes sound more suited for booze up than a dance party!
The longest track Synnafjellet, named after a mountain region in Norway, contains heavy breathing and yelps which sound like they are bent on summoning up primal forces.
The ‘diddly-do’ lyrics of Samulinespringar are comical; I’m not sure if this is the intention.
The title of the album translates as ‘Eternity is happening’ and whether stoned or sober the celebratory aspect is evident.
