Review: 'Vlimmer'
'Gleichbau/Ordinary World'

-  Label: 'Black Jack Illuminist Records'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '13.6.25.'

Our Rating:
It's been a little while since the super productive Vlimmer had a single out, so it was no surprise when I was sent the latest single by Alexander Leonard Donat's ever busy Berlin based Vlimmer project who have a seriously large back catalogue.

Gleichbau is a darkwave synth pop song with cool synths and a steady drum machine beat, helping to build modern houses in a typically German fashion, mixing machines with very human vocals. After the break down the last minute or so rebuilds nicely.

The B-side is a German version of Duran Duran's classic Ordinary World with glacial synths and a sound that would have been described as futuristic in the 1980's but now sounds more like laid back easy listening synth pop.
