The eleven pop songs on her debut album were written on the cusp of adulthood between the ages of 19 and 23.
She also plays acoustic guitar. Her friend and co-producer Elliott Woodbridge plays everything else.
She sings about simple sorrows, romantic attachments and emotional frailties. A vague disaffection with consumerism and capitalism falls short of political sloganeering.
It is light but not lightweight.
“Music gave me a guide and something to move towards,” she says.
