Nuclear Bounty Hunter is the latest single from Yorkshires Bug Facer who are part of the Warren Records stable of young bands produced by Adam Pattrick in Hull. Bug Facer are James Cooper, Will Longton, Tom Steel and Josh Burdett.
The a-side Nuclear Bounty Hunter fades in with the guitars warming up and the drums slowly moving around the speakers, building the doomed soundscape for the extruded vocal yelps and growls, making clear no one is safe here, everything sounds like it comes from a wasteland of out of time zombies, surviving tin the post war wastelands, searching for the last man alive to make sure he is dead, sadly this seems timely with all the renewed talk of nuclear war.
The B-side Beggars Last Words uses a last post style snare part with a string sample, creating a musical eulogy for the death of a civilisation, or could it be for the survivors of another stupid war of annihilation launched for no good reason. Slowly building and metastasizing through the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
