Ready To Strike is the latest EP by Cincinnati Ohio's Thrash metallers Thorns who built their own basement studio to rehearse and record in. Thorns are Luke Schwarz, Peyton Smith, Connor Ohmer and Adam Coelho.
The EP opens with the full-on speed thrash of Bad Business with searing guitars and urgent vocals trying to make us believe they are giving up all their bad habits and will not be involved in any bad Business anymore! they will instead concentrate on being the new Warfare or Anthrax and bringing back classic thrash metal one speedy guitar solo at a time.
Headcase is just what you are and they are out to get you, attacking you with a colossal riff and intense blast beat drumming, that chases power and fame even more than the Headcase they are singing about, before another super speedy intense guitar solo fry's your mind again.
Muzzle is lean mean fighting against the corrupt world we are living in, are you ready to kill if you have too, Blood in the streets once more, can you save us all with bone crushing riffs and drums pulverising anyone getting in the way of the thrash metal behemoth Thorns are creating.
The ep closes with Sickfit that grabs you by the balls and throws you against a wall, beating the sickness out of you, they are not down with the sickness, instead they are the embodiment of the fight to defeat the Sickfit of our times, crushing it to dust against the grinding guitars.
