Review: 'MR.FOGG'
'GIVING IN'

-  Label: 'CHROMIUM'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: 'October 2005'

Our Rating:
'Giving In' by singer MR FOGG, is a simple and beautiful song backed by offbeat drumming, squidgy synth chords and melancholy vocals. Once you get your head round the strange drum beat (it grows on you quickly) there is no reason not to like this catchy, yet slightly depressing tune.

Second track 'Cogs' is more of the same, with more electronic goodness and a strange chirping sound in the background. There are some lovely shimmering keyboard harmonies towards the end of the track though, which lead nicely into the final track on the release 'Bloodrush.'

This song is less original, sounding slightly like something that Manchester band Elbow would produce. Again another sad, evocative song with not much going on past the electronic beats and strumming bass line. Not to be listened to if in a good mood, but lovely nonetheless!
