Review: 'RODGERS, FRAN'
'LET THE RAIN FALL (EP)'

-  Label: 'Self-Released (www.franrodgers.co.uk)'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: 'November 2005'

Our Rating:
With a voice that sends shivers down your spine, and some wonderfully simple tunes, 'Let The Rain Fall' is a beautiful melodic release from Leeds based folk singer FRAN RODGERS.

It is clear to see that Rodgers has been inspired by 60s folk icons such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, and the result is four absolutely fantastic tracks of poetic lyrics sung with a crystal clear, fresh voice accompanied by a gentle acoustic guitar.

'Unforgiving' and 'Season's Song' are two tracks that stand out on the EP, the former being a slow, melancholy tune with hauntingly beautiful vocal harmonies whilst Rodgers voice on 'Season's Song' transports listeners to another world altogether.

Utterly amazing!
