If you're looking for your five minutes of fame- then you could certainly do worse than getting yourself a starring role in a Coca-Cola advert (Jack White please note this does not mean you). BIZ has just done that- picked from 1000 performers he became the face of the Coca-Cola football commercial shown on numerous prime-time sporting advert breaks across the channels.
And so comes his first single- pure upbeat crowd-pleasing pop. Think early Robbie Williams, or a slightly heavier Ronan Keating. All rock-lite guitars and big orchestral string choruses with uplifting optimistic lyrics. It is a song that begs to be sung-along too. Flip-side Kingdom of Love is not quite as catchy- taking a more MOR route, with it's gospel-style backing vocals and squealing guitar solo (enough said!)

Both songs perhaps most crucially offer a chance for Biz to show what is a consistently strong pop-vocal- it's not particularly different- but it is good. You can certainly hear why the judges chose him. Ultimately though, the whole thing feels a little too cliched, a little too Pop-Idol and a little too "heard it all before".
To stand out in today's pop market you need a bit more than what is really a quite unremarkable style. That said, your Mum will probably love it.
