How refreshing it is to hear a Christmas song that isn't merely a cover of another overplayed standard. It doesn't take the Grinch to say, "Enough already!", in response to the same Xmas tunes simply being re-recorded. Shouldn't something so beloved be able to spark the imagination? Or have we become too cynical in this day and age?
Give Susan House (http://www.susanhouse.com) extra credit for not only producing an original winter holiday tune but a terrific one at that. "Santa's Perfect Gift" is actually the first of two Christmas CD singles from House. The other, "The Light of Christmas," is more serious in tone; however, both are winning numbers.

"Santa's Perfect Gift" is cocktail jazz in Christmas wrapping, with House's sweet vocals narrating a love letter to Saint Nick. House's voice is sexy and playful while the music captures the spirit of the season quite vividly.
Whether or not a Christmas succeeds or fails can be easily tested by answering this question: Does it remind you of Christmas? Congratulations to House for being able to pull that off without dusting off another tired classic.
