Review: 'BIZ'
'LONG WAY DOWN'

-  Label: 'HALO'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '10th April 2006'

Our Rating:
Well, this BIZ bloke has done alright for himself so far hasn't he? His music has been played in a couple of major fizzy pop advert campaigns (no names mentioned), he's performed at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff for the Football League Play-Off Finals last year, and he's played his debut single at Hull City KC Stadium. Not bad for someone who, lets face it, has merely churned out karaoke-fodder for the masses. Yak.

There is something sickening in bragging about the fact that massive corporate sponsorship has catapulted someone to their current position of success. The thing is, and there is no easy way to say it, but Biz's singles just aren't that good. In fact, they sit at the clichéd, boring end of MOR rock.

"Long Way Down" is completely unsubstantial, and all the millions of pounds obtained from the millions of fat-cat ad campaigns, and the millions of gigs in front of millions of football fans, isn't going to change that one little bit. And 'Biz' is a pants name anyway.

Get thee behind me Satan, we don't appreciate corporate-endorsed tripe around here I'm afraid. Come back when you have something more honest, and when there is no sponsorship from a company which would probably put up banner ads in Tiananmen Square if it would expand their market enough.
