Review: 'FALLOUT BOY'
'DANCE, DANCE'

-  Label: 'MERCURY (www.falloutboyrock.com)'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '17th April 2006'

Our Rating:
This is a rather lovely bit of toxic energy from Fallout Boy. It’s got that infectious punk beat, married to an almost surf rock sensibility. It reminds me slightly of an updated Billy Bragg in delivery, with inevitable comparisons to Green Day et al.

Fallout Boy stands head & shoulders above most skatepunk bands however, who I generally find uninspiring & formulaic. This song invites pogo-ing, beer swilling & general skulduggery to full
effect – the track just works, simple as that. I imagine the live show to be pretty incendiary, & this deserves to be the summer soundtrack to various disaffected youth.

Unfortunately the B side It’s not a side effect of the cocaine, I think it must be love was not available to me for review, but the title can say a lot, & on this evidence Fallout Boy should be snorted up, Scarface style.
