Review: 'RUSSIAN FUTURISTS, THE'
'PAUL SIMON'

-  Label: 'MEMPHIS INDUSTRIES'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '17th July 2006'-  Catalogue No: 'MI068P'

Our Rating:
Ooooooooooh this is all a bit random – why call yourself the RUSSIAN FUTURISTS? Why name your first single after Paul Simon? Is the album title ‘Me, Myself and Rye” a sneaky literature reference, or is it just a (rather bad) play on words… WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

The fact that these pointless questions are detracting away from the music itself speaks volumes.

The music is repetitive, lending itself very well to all sorts of remixes, which will probably be better than the original no doubt. It’s all a bit ‘Shoreditch’ (i.e. ‘Fuckin Mexico’), but inoffensive nonetheless.
