‘Marie Et L’accordeon’ is quite conceivably the perfect soundtrack for a carefree, lazy and gentle day, in love and drifting through the countryside of France whilst watching the sun break through floating white clouds.
It’s sung entirely in French, but don’t let the language barrier put you off. ‘Marie Et L’accordeon’ conjures up a plethora of visual delights captured on cine film, with bassoon, trumpet and of course accordion filling in the blanks. Harmonious, subtle and subdued, Stars Of Aviation’s delicate musical sensibilities will draw comparisons with Belle and Sebastien, Arcade Fire and The Pastels.
