Olivier Alary’s Ensemble makes a triumphant return with his debut release for Fatcat, ‘Disown Delete’ and his first for five years. With intimate guest vocals from Chan Marshall of Catpower fame, ‘Disown Delete’ is symphonic perfection that floats on butterfly’s wings high above sun-dappled waterfalls.
There’s an intensity here that has been created through lazy acoustic guitar, echoing alien sounding synthesisers and of course Chan Marshall’s velvet smooth singing. Like an intravenous drug ‘Disown Delete’ shoots straight to the vein, leaving you mesmerised, immobile and wanting more.
