Review: 'KOBAI'
'SEROTONIN'

-  Label: 'EMPIRE RECORDS (SCOTLAND)'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '21st September 2006'

Our Rating:
Kobai’s ‘Serotonin’ is a predictable rant that throws together punked angular guitars with angry drums and a few synths thrown in for good measure. It’s not a bad attempt at sounding American and in places is catchy as hell but fails to go all the way to convince you that these boys are the real deal.

With its few trump card riffs played right from the start there isn’t much to build on. Conversely the vocals don’t do enough until the track's nearly over by which point it’s a case of too little too late. Put on repeat at your peril.
