It’s a compact, eccentric wholly wonderful concoction of bedroom backing beats delivered by the son of Jarvis Cocker and brother of Albarn circa Parklife.
‘I am Xray’ and ‘Outer Regions’ benefit from Jack Snapes theatrical vocals before the fundamental rhythm of happy hardcore is disarmed with the charmingly metronomic beats. If British Sea Power happened to stumble across a synth it would struggle to be as haphazardly charming as this.
