What can I say? Its almost fabulous. Its almost genius. But then it just really isn’t at the same time. There are definite cross-overs of style that show unique musicality and maybe its just that it’s such a new sound that I can’t quite love it yet.
Remixes (should there be any) of tracks such as Many Are Called will no doubt have dance floors jammed but the electro sounds are not amazingly well produced and seem out of keeping with the soulful vocals and Caribbean influences that throw the entire record into disarray. However, tracks such as This Cafe make me think that there is a future for this guy – if he could find a producer less fond of his Casio keyboard.
