Review: 'MY LATEST NOVEL'
'WHEN WE WERE WOLVES/ PRETTY IN A PANIC'

-  Label: 'BELLA UNION'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '2nd October 2006'

Our Rating:
‘When We Were Wolves / Pretty In A Panic’ is the stunning new double A-Side to be released from the delectable Scottish five piece My Latest Novel.

Their unique bohemian sound is showcased in ‘When We Were Wolves’ through primeval tribal chanting, musical interludes and an eclectic mix of folk backlash mixed with swirling psychedelic induced melodies which climaxes in an orgy of audible excess that demands immediate attention.

‘Pretty In A Panic’ is the preverbal other side of the record, using well-arranged and composed strings and a gentle but powerful understated vocal that strikes a perfect balance and leaks unadulterated excellence. And like ‘When We Were Wolves’ climaxes as and when it should.

Inventive, evocative, inspiring and exclusive, My Latest Novel have unleashed a dazzling menagerie of imaginative and refreshing sounds that will only add more followers to their ever growing fan base.
